Build Yourself A Happy Holidays With Home Depot

Some guys are hard to shop for. While Aaron isn't exactly the handyman type, I know several guys who drool at the mention of power tools. For dads and husbands like that, a gift card from The Home Depot might be the perfect solution for Christmas or Hanukkah this year.

Aw, who am I kidding? I'd love a Home Depot gift card, too. I never thought I would get excited about a home improvement store, but being a homeowner has changed that. Looking at the landscaping options alone makes me giddy, and let's not even mention the brushed nickel bathroom hardware. Drool...

This year The Home Depot has 17 holiday gift card styles to choose from including a gingerbread man that can be decorated with stickers and a card that looks and feels like it is covered with the handyman's wrapping paper - duct tape. Aren't they cute?

Win one! I'm giving away a $100 Home Depot gift card to one lucky winner! Yes, you read that right - $100. Give it as a gift or keep it all for yourself - your choice!

To enter, leave me a comment by Thursday November 27 at noon EST telling me what one home improvement project you want to work on the most. (If you live in an apartment, what one project do you wish you could work on the most?) Be sure to leave an e-mail address if you don't have it configured in your Blogger profile or I won't be able to contact you if you win.

One winner will be chosen at random (Random.org) on the evening of Thursday 11/27 so you'll know if you can cross one thing off your shopping list for Black Friday.

Good luck!

There are so many projects we want to do in our new home. First would be to redo the fireplace, it's hideous. Like gold and green paint. Blech. We want to get it visually prepared for a fireplace insert.

I am dying to redo the gawdawful yellow-green-faux marble countertops in our bathroom.

I would also love some soaker hoses because south texas is hell on home foundations.

I'd fix some of the drywall that's cracked from the house settling...

I would love to get some low VOC paint to repaint the living room, dining room and two of our bedrooms. I have asthma and can't stand the fumes from regular paint so I have lived with WHITE, FINGERPRINT MAGNET walls for four years.

Help!

We have some gutter repairs on the garage, and paint for the outside trim.

The front light fixture is broken and needs to be replaced.

There is also moving M to the office, and the office upstairs to our room, and our room M's current room.

I could go on, but I'd just get depressed.

I still live in an apartment and have been dying to paint walls for years. If I could, I would paint every wall in our house and do funky patterns and maybe even paint the ceilings.

I would LOVE to get everything to organize our closets - kids and parents. Shelving, rods, storage containers, shoe racks - oh, the dream!

I am aching to have a second bathroom. Now that we have 2 adults and 2 children in the home, it doesn't seem too indulgent to have 3 toilets. The rest of 'em are guys though, so I could always send them to the backyard in a pinch.

Big project this winter: remove the grass in our lawn and replace it with natives and walking paths. Greatly reduce our outdoor water consumption and save time by not having to mow, fertilize and treat the damn grass.

OOH OOH! I hope I win!

Cannot tell you the Godsend it would be to help offset hurricane repair expenses.

Okay and also we are Home Depot junkies. What can I say.

But Mama's got a hole in her roof, no fence, and water damage and could use a good fortune deal. :)

I love the duct tape card lol.

Man do I need this. I have been waiting to paint for so long and with the state of my marriage maybe it would help brighten our lives a bit!

Oooh, love that duct tape card! So funny!

I would..where to start?

Buy light fixtures for the gaping holes in my kitchen season. Would LOVE that. Hope I win, thank you!

This would be awesome to win! Our house will be going on the market in the Spring and the landscaping will definitely be in need of a facelift after winter! My poor flower box in front looks awful empty. :-)

my husband is replacing our floors with hardwood. so far it has taken a year.

a gift card to home depot? perhaps that would inspire him to finish.

One project? We really really need to fix the water damage to the wall behind our tub. The wall is all mushy from certain people not closing the shower curtain when they shower.

Oh, man. We are selling our home due to the bad economy and the tanking of the car business. I have so many things I need to repair and no money to do. I'd probably buy some winter flowers to spruce up the outside. Or paint. EVERYTHING needs to be painted.

I SERIOUSLY hope I win.

We really want to pull up the carpet in our TV room and put wood style flooring down. A gift card would send us on our way!

I desperately need flooring for the kids' bathroom. It has nasty stick tile that they call "the puke floor" in it now and usually use my bathroom instead to avoid it. I'm sick of little boy pee on my seat so I want to lose the puke floor and put in something more appealing to him!
