Win A SanDisk Cruzer Gator Flash Drive!

Every time I visit with my mother, she asks me if I have any new pictures of the girls for her. And me being the forgetful person I am, has to answer no because I didn't take the time to print any of them off. My mom is OK with computers, but not so good with the internet, so telling her about my Flickr account doesn't help much.

But I was recently contacted by SanDisk about their new Cruzer Gator flash drives, and I immediately thought: I'll keep all my photos on a flash drive, and then I can upload them to my mom's computer each time I stop by. Brilliant! The flash drive also serves as an additional backup for my pics, in case my laptop's hard drive should ever decide to spontaneously erase itself.

How does this apply to you, you may ask? Well, you can have one too! SanDisk has given me five of these little beauties to pass along to you. The black and red ones hold 4GB of data, while the pink one is the 2GB model.

How to enter: Leave a comment on this post, telling me what was the best/worst Mother's Day gift that you've received or given. Was it an inappropriate piece of lingerie from your mother-in-law that made you cringe? Or maybe a breakfast of soggy cereal prepared by an eager-to-please five year old that melted your heart?

The contest will close Friday, May 2 at 11:59PM Eastern. Five winners will then be selected (using Random.org) - please make sure you leave your e-mail address with your comment so I can contact you.

Good luck!

The best mother's day gift I've received...that's a toughie. I think it must be last year when my kids (then eight and three) gave me a homemade coupon book. My son wrote it all by himself, and my daughter colored in his pictures.

It was full of things like, "Breakfast in bed" and, "We'll clean our rooms without complaining."

(like my three year-old cleaned her room, teehee.)

Just the fact that he thought it up all by himself, worked on it for quite some time (illustrations and everything) and included his little sister, and they presented it with such pride and love...doesn't get much better than that.

I've had one, and the best present was my daughter a month before. Worst MIL gift, not for Mother's day, underwear. Any under garment from an in-law is a bad idea.

When I was little, my class put together paperweights and candy as presents for our moms. I ate the candy and dropped and broke the paperweight. I gave it to my mom anyway. I wasn't really the perfect child. >_>

The best present I got was last year, when Nico said he was taking the kids to the playground so I could have some Me time. Then he called me on the way home so I could get out of the house for even more Me time.

I'm not a mother so I've never received a Mother's Day gift. I'm sure I gave plenty of bad ones in my day, but there is one that stands out.

When I was 7-ish we planted a marigold in a styrofoam cup in Girl Scouts to give to our moms for Mother's Day. I left mine on my bedroom windowsill and a breeze came through and knocked it over. When I found it the stem of the flower was broken and there was dirt everywhere and I just started crying hysterically because I had been so excited to give my mom the marigold. So my mom gave my sister some money and she took me to a flower shop so I could buy a marigold to give her. Heh.

I made my mother a Velveeta cheese sandwich and served it to her in bed. I was probably four and could only use a butter knife, Mom said I used half the loaf of cheese. And I didn't give her anything to drink. But by gosh she choked it down and said it was the most delicious thing she'd ever eaten!

I got the best homemade card last year. It was enormous and beautiful!

I could use one of these. My best mother's day gift - a dozen roses from each of my three little sons. They were so proud to give me this gift!

My worst Mother's Day gift came last year. My husband thought it would be a great idea to get me a hand-held seed spreader and a bag of Sevindust for the yard. Not even kidding. It was so bad that I cried for the entire day.

Best Mother's Day was last year, it's my only one as a mom so far...I got flowers and Krispy Kreme donuts. Works for me! Thanks for the giveaway.

Best mother's day present was my Mom and child necklace for my first mother's day. I still wear it daily.

Worst mother's day present...a box of chocolates...I don't even like chocolates that much.

I'd love a flash drive...for the same reason as you!

oddly my best was 2 yrs ago when my ex and i were in the process of separating.....he took the 3 kids to my favorite garden/gift store and let them pick out what they wanted. the special part was asking the children why they picked what they did. they all had an awesome insight into what i enjoy!

BY FAR, the diamond earrings I got when my youngest was 10 months old. Because WE DON'T DO DIAMONDS AND EXPENSIVE PRESENTS. There was nothing sweeter than seeing Dad and Will coming in with the little box that morning.

And it was a one and only----no diamonds since, but oh so sweet!

My worst experience with a Mother's Day present was when I was in elementary school. We were making a craft to give to our moms in school of course. The problem was that my mom had passed away the year before, so I wanted to write "Nanny" on my project, but my teacher wouldn't let me! She made a big deal about it and I ended up crying in front of the whole class. I ended up writing mom on it but later adding Grand to it. I still think about that every mother's day!

The best was the "mommy" pendant I got when I was pregnant with Little J - mostly because it was the first mother-y thing I ever received and made it all hit home.

Every mothers day my husband and son make a little video for me. they are so precious!

Ohh... Cassie's comment made me so sad...:(

My best Mother's Day present... They're all pretty sweet, but one that stands out is breakfast made by the kids and Daddy. (Thankfully!) Flowers and a card were waiting on the table beside it.

The worst? I can't honestly say I've ever gotten a "bad" one! The best to come would be a flash drive!!!

Worst: a sleeping bag from my husband. Really. If I'd wanted one, I would have gotten it myself.

My best would probably be my very first Mother's Day - I had just had the baby the day before! AND - it was my birthday. Talk about a busy day!

Cassie - I am so, so sorry that your teacher was a moron. I cannot even imagine how horrible of an experience that was.

Last year, we brought our daughter home from the hospital on Mother's Day.

I've never received a bad Mother's Day gift. Not that I can remember anyway. Although one year, Doug bought me a cake and I blamed him for my gaining five pounds. Does that count as a bad gift? Weight gain?

My best Mother's Day present was the one my husband gave me right before the birth of our daughter. He got me three books to read, a beautiful heart-shaped PURPLE keychain that said "#1 Mom" and a chemise nightgown that was perfect for a variety of things.
I can honestly say that I don't remember ever getting a bad Mother's Day gift, but I've only been having them for five years now, so I've still got time.

this is so embarrassing. But the worst thing I ever did on mothers day was bring my boyfriend over and declare to my mom that we wanted to go play on some fun ride thing. I asked her for cashed shouted a half ass happy mothers day and took off. I was 18 what can I say.

From Husband: a cheap necklace

From sister-in-law (who shouldn't have gotten me a Mother's Day present anyway:) a nursing nightgown - wrong on many levels

Not sure if there have been any "bests."

I love flash drives and need more: I bring to my parents to give them photos and mail to my in-laws, but they haven't returned them for me to restock.

The worst? A big fat nothing.

The best? A pair of emerald earrings. It is The Goon Squad's birthstone. Gabe got them for me while I was in the hospital on bedrest and the twins were still in utero.

They were born three days later.

The worse Mother's Day gift was a microwave. But that's what she asked for! Romantic, huh? The best was a diamond Jewish star that my hubby gave me for my very first year as a mom.

I've always been pleased with my Mother's Day gifts. EXCEPT once: My then husband gave me an electric car waxer for him to use on his car. I laughed for a minute!

Best gift was the rose bush my husband got for me as I was eight months pregnant - P was born a few weeks later. It's just now starting to bloom and it always takes me to all those feelings just before I became a mother.
